Functional Test Technician
Qualification : DAE (Electrical/Electronics/ Aerospace/Mechatronics or any relevant field or Aircraft Maintenance Technician (B1/B2)
Experience: 1-2 year minimum experience in aviation, aerospace, avionics or relevant industry (Preferably having prior experience of UAVs including fixed wing and multi-copters. Additionally, knowledge about autopilot like Pixhawk, Ardupilot and GCS like Mission Planner, Q Ground control, betalight, INAV etc. will be given preference)
Job Description :
- Carry out the functional testing tasks according to technical work orders.
- Carry out PC based testing of UAVs sub-systems including avionics, fuel, communication, payload integration, sensors and actuators.
- Carry out PC based extensive testing of UAV internal combustion engine, analyze their performance and troubleshoot their problems.
- Carry out hardware and avionics integration on aircraft.
- Able to install, upgrade and downgrade aircraft software’s.
- Troubleshooting using the necessary testing tools and equipment including multimeter, oscilloscope, functional generator, spectrum analyzer etc.
- Using the GCS software for system and component level testing.
- Perform the RF testing including data and video transmission systems installed on the UAV.
- Maintain the documented record of all the activates carried out on each aircraft.
- Report the technical non-conformities to the team lead.
- Carry out the aircraft testing procedure while ensuring the safety of personnel, equipment and environment.
- Provide ground support during flight testing of aircrafts and launcher system.
- Able to perform field work including test flights, aircraft maintenance, system upgradation etc.
- Able to carry out any task assigned by respective supervisor.
