Strong knowledge of aerodynamics, rigid-body dynamics, flight mechanics, and aircraft stability & control.

Job Description / Responsibilities:
Develop aerodynamic, propulsion, and rigid-body dynamics models for multirotor, fixed-wing, or hybrid UAVs.
Create and refine 6-DOF flight dynamic models, including nonlinear and linearized representations
Model actuator dynamics, motor/propeller effects, environmental disturbances (wind, turbulence), and sensor characteristics.
Support Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulation setups.
Build and utilize simulation environments (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, ROS, Gazebo) to validate algorithms and predict system performance.
Collaborate with hardware, avionics, GNC, and test engineers to ensure models accurately reflect real aircraft behaviour.
Investigate new modelling methods, aerodynamic estimation techniques, and simulation frameworks.
Create detailed technical documentation, including algorithm specifications, test plans, and performance reports.
Conduct functional tests of software and control algorithms and report analyses.
